Having a cloud strategy today is critical to keeping any business competitive, with many benefits available such as flexibility, scalability, capex to opex budgeting and more. But fears abound, and in many cases, those fears are creating barriers to adoption that impact taking a calculated and strategic approach to cloud strategy.
As Gartner analyst, Jay Heiser, points out very frankly in his report, Clouds are Secure: Are You Using Them Securely, “CIO’s and CISO’s need to stop “obsessing” over unsubstantiated cloud security worries.” He goes on to make some powerful recommendations to get out of fear and into action.
“CIOs and CISOs need to stop obsessing over unsubstantiated cloud security worries, and instead apply their imagination and energy to developing new approaches to cloud control, allowing them to securely, compliantly and reliably leverage the benefits of this increasingly ubiquitous computing model.”
